Media Studies is an exciting course in which students analyse advertisements, newspapers, music videos, films, video games, magazines, TV, online and radio.

The course also has a practical element where students create their own cross media production. Anyone interested in any of the media listed should definitely consider taking it as an A Level. Media Studies offers you the challenge to enhance your analytical skills and engage your imaginations!

What do students study?

You will study a range of media (advertisements, newspapers, music videos, films, video games, magazines, TV, online and radio) exploring industry, audience, representation, media language and the influence of context within these media forms.

How are students assessed?

There are two exams, and one piece of NEA.

You will have regular reviews with your teacher to help and guide your learning.
